How to Pay Your DIRECTV Bill Online

View bills, make payments, set up autopay, and manage your account.

Your DIRECTV Online Self-Care Portal lets you view bills, make payments, set up autopay, and update your account anytime, from any device. This short guide walks you through everything you need to get started.

Sign In to the DIRECTV Portal →

You can sign in anytime at identity.directv.com/login/signin.

If anything looks off along the way, EmpireTV is your authorized DIRECTV for Business partner and we're glad to help.

What the Portal Does for You

The Online Self-Care Portal puts your whole account in one place. There are three things customers appreciate most about it:

  • Convenience — access your current and past bills online, anywhere, anytime.
  • Control — manage autopay, make one-time payments, pay without signing in, and update your info.
  • Connection — get quick answers to account questions with dedicated online agents and live chat.

Signing In for the First Time

Getting in takes about a minute. Head to the sign-in page and follow these three steps:

  1. Open identity.directv.com/login/signin in any browser, on desktop or mobile.
  2. Enter the User ID and password tied to your DIRECTV for Business account. First time in? Use the Forgot User ID / Password link to set them up, then save them somewhere safe.
  3. You'll land on your Account Overview dashboard, with your balance, payments, and support all in one view.

Your Dashboard at a Glance

The Account Overview is home base. Three tabs run everything: Overview, Billing & Payments, and Profile.

From the Overview you'll see your total balance and due date, quick buttons to Make a Payment or See My Bill, receiver controls, and a support center with sports schedules, channel lineups, and billing help.

Making a Payment

From Billing & Payments → Pay My Bill while signed in, paying takes four quick steps:

  1. Review the amount due at the top, along with your due date and last payment. The amount field pre-fills with your full balance, edit it if you're paying a different amount.
  2. Pick a payment date, today or a future date.
  3. Choose a payment method, a saved bank account or card, or select Use an unsaved payment method.
  4. Agree to the Payment Authorization terms and select Pay Bill. You'll get on-screen confirmation.

Tip: Turn On Auto Bill Pay

Enroll in autopay from the Pay My Bill or Payment Settings screen and your bill is paid automatically each cycle, with no missed due dates.

Paying Without Signing In

In a hurry, or don't have your login handy? You can pay straight from the sign-in page.

  1. Choose Pay without signing in, then enter your Account number and ZIP Code and select Next.
  2. Enter the amount you want to pay, or select Get balance to pull your current total.
  3. Add a bank account or credit/debit card for this one-time payment.
  4. Agree to the authorization terms and Submit payment.

Important

If you're a DIRECTV via Internet customer (no satellite dish) and your account is set up on autopay, additional one-time payments aren't allowed. Sign in to update your payment method instead.

Viewing Bills & Managing Settings

Under Billing & Payments you can switch between two more tabs:

  • View My Bill — see your current bill and browse previous bills going back two years, then open or download any statement.
  • Payment Settings — manage saved payment methods, edit your billing address, and sign up for or manage Auto Bill Pay.

Keeping Your Profile Current

From the Profile tab you can update your password, email, User ID, and phone number, and set your security questions.

You can also manage how DIRECTV reaches you through live chat, email notifications, and alerts when new features go live.

What You'll Be Able to Access

Your available tools depend on how your account is billed. Here's how it breaks down:

  • Full access — Standalone Accounts and Master Billed Parent Accounts.
  • Partial access — Master Billed Child Accounts and 3rd Party Billed Child Accounts. Billing and payment restrictions apply.
  • No access — 3rd Party Billed Dealer Accounts.

Not sure which one you are? Reach out to EmpireTV and we'll confirm your account type and exactly what you'll be able to do in the portal.

✓ The Bottom Line

The Online Self-Care Portal gives you full control of your DIRECTV account, billing, payments, and profile, all in one place. EmpireTV is your authorized DIRECTV for Business partner, and our team is here to help you get set up and answer any questions along the way.
