On March 25, 2026, DIRECTV announced a major expansion of its Major League Baseball (MLB) coverage, ensuring fans continue to have access to their favorite local teams despite the ongoing changes in regional sports networks (RSNs).

As the sports broadcasting landscape continues to evolve, DIRECTV has partnered directly with MLB to launch new team-specific channels, while continuing to offer one of the most complete sports lineups in the country.

New MLB Team Channels Now Available

DIRECTV has introduced new MLB-operated channels for the following teams, ensuring uninterrupted local access:

• Cincinnati Reds
• Detroit Tigers
• Kansas City Royals
• Miami Marlins
• Milwaukee Brewers
• Seattle Mariners
• St. Louis Cardinals
• Tampa Bay Rays
• Washington Nationals

With these additions, DIRECTV now provides local game access to 28 of the 29 U.S.-based MLB teams, making it one of the most complete platforms for baseball coverage.

What Is a Regional Sports Network (RSN)?

A Regional Sports Network (RSN) is a channel dedicated to broadcasting local sports teams within a specific geographic area. These networks typically carry MLB, NBA, and NHL games for teams in your home region.

Due to recent industry changes, many RSNs have been rebranded or replaced. Despite this, DIRECTV continues to carry nearly every RSN available, along with new team-specific channels and expanded sports offerings.

Important Note on RSN Availability

Regional Sports Networks are not included in every DIRECTV package. Access to RSNs typically requires specific packages such as CHOICE™ or higher, or add-ons like MyHome Team.
